So as I mention in the About this Blog page, I have a couple of standard breakfasts I eat. They are both under 300 calories and I know I should be eating a larger breakfast and a smaller dinner but I just never find the time in the morning to make something more substantial that is healthy.
So I either have toast with promite spread or I make up an instant Uncle Toby’s Oats with some skim milk and I have a cup of tea. One thing I have cut out of my morning routine is purchasing a coffee on my way to work. I think I have only managed to do this because I changed jobs and the only coffee place near my new job has terrible service so I just gave up going. Otherwise I would have struggled with this one. It is surprising how many calories are in that pesky flat white coffee even with skim milk.
But breakfast on the weekend is the time that I do get those calories in at breakfast time. I love going out for breakfast and having a wonderful cooked breakfast. But I do then plan on having a light lunch and lighter dinner.
I do still buy a coffee at lunch – I don’t want to give it up all together. But I go to places where I get a good coffee quickly. I hate wasting calories on bad food and drinks!
